EAEU simplified veterinary control procedures
The Eurasian Economic Commission’s Council has decided to amend the Regulation on the common procedure for veterinary control (supervision) at the customs border and the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Examinations of goods being imported into the Union’s territory and subject to veterinary control have been reduced through a risk assessment mechanism. The mechanism of prior notification on veterinary certificates issued by the third country’s relevant authority for regulated goods being imported into the EAEU customs territory will be applied. All this will lead to simplifying veterinary control (supervision) procedures in the EAEU.
