10 Nov 2020 The 100th meeting of the RIA working group assessed the effect of the Commission's draft decisions on doing business The Working Group on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA), chaired by Timur Zhaksylykov, Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held a meeting on November 10. The participants considered draft EEC decisions on customs administration, antitrust regulation, circulation of medical products, and technical regulation.

09 Nov 2020 EEC participated in discussing conformity assessment specifics in light of COVID-19 pandemic at UNECE venue The role of standards and conformity assessment during the epidemiological situation associated with spreading COVID-19 was discussed at the 30th session of the Working Party of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies (UNECE WG 6). Timur Nurashev, Director of Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), has told his colleagues about the procedures for assessing product conformity with the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union’s technical regulations.

06 Nov 2020 Arman Shakkaliev appointed EEC Minister in charge of Competition and Antitrust Regulation By Decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council dated November 6, Arman Shakkaliev was appointed new Member of the Board — Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He will be in charge of antitrust regulation and competition in transboundary markets of the Eurasian Economic Union.
