The EEC consolidates efforts for sustainable development of poultry industry in the EAEU
Thanks to the introduction of modern industrial technologies, the production of poultry meat in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) increased by 27% from 2012 to 2016, the self-sufficiency of the EAEU countries with poultry meat reached 96%. The initiatives contained in the "List of Measures for Sustainable Development of Poultry Industry" will help ensure the competitiveness of the industry in the world market. The document, which development was initiated by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), provides for such support measures as localization of the production of resources and equipment for poultry industry and creation of a complete production cycle within the EAEU.

2.63% of the EAEU GDP can be saved by 2025 by eliminating legal barriers in the process of implementing the digital agenda of the Union
According to the World Bank, the level of savings only by eliminating legal barriers in the implementation of the digital agenda of the EAEU can potentially reach 2.63% of the GDP by 2025. What pilot initiatives are expected to be worked out within the framework of the implementation of the digital agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) up to 2025 were discussed at the session of the high-level working group headed by the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Tigran Sargsyan, held at the EEC headquarters in Moscow.

On September 19, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECE) was held. Issues of development of the EAEU integrated information system, deepening integration and customs cooperation of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) were discussed. The EEC Board approved the draft Agreement on navigation in the EAEU countries.

Forum “Greece – EAEU” has launched a new format of Europe's cooperation with the EAEU
Having made an opening speech at the Business Forum “Eurasian Economic Union – Greece: A New Bridge for Cooperation and Development” held in Thessaloniki (Greece) on September 11, Chairman of the EEC Board Tigran Sargsyan spoke on the importance of expanding direct business contacts between the EAEU and the Greek entrepreneurs, shifting to cooperation in high-tech industries and creating joint ventures.

The EEC and the FAO discussed strategies to promote agri-food exports
From 2010 to 2017, agricultural product exports of the EAEU has increased by over 70%. In this context, the main objective of the agreed agroindustrial policy of the Union is further expansion of exports and development of deep processing of agricultural raw materials. This was stated by the Director of the EEC Agroindustrial Policy Department, Stanislav Buben, at the workshop "National Programs and Strategies for the Promotion of Agri-food Exports" organized by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) jointly with the National Union of Food Exporters of Russia.

The outcomes of the EEC Board: the term for release of imported goods into free circulation will be reduced
Issues of technical regulation, veterinary control, as well as customs administration were discussed at the session of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on September 4. In particular, decisions on the practical implementation of the regulations of the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which should enter into force at the beginning of 2018, were adopted.
