The draft report on activities in the sphere of natural monopolies for 2023 was considered at a meeting of the Committee on Natural Monopolies chaired by Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The document contains information on draft regulatory legal acts elaborated in the reporting period, information on the activities of regulatory authorities, including judicial practice in considering complaints and applications on natural monopolies. Besides, the report includes the activities carried out by the Union countries to harmonize legislation in the spheres of natural monopolies.
The report will be submitted to the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council for consideration in May this year.
The Minister gave a high appraisal of the constructive approach of experts from the EAEU countries' authorized bodies in preparing the documents envisaged by the second stage of the "road map" in the sphere of natural monopolies.

The report (information) is prepared annually in accordance with subparagraph 5 of paragraph 20 of the Protocol on common principles and rules for regulating activities of natural monopoly entities (Annex 20 to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014).
The action plan (roadmap) for sequencing the harmonization of the EAEU States' legislation in the sphere of natural monopolies was approved by the EEC Council in December 2017.
