17 Dec 2020 EAEU develops coordinated actions to improve directions of standardization development Ensuring quality and safety guarantees for products entering the Eurasian Economic Union market is one of the most important guidelines in the Strategic Directions Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025 approved by the Heads of the EAEU Member States on December 11, 2020. A discrete role in their implementation is given to the activities undertaken by the Council of Heads of public (national) standardization bodies of the EAEU States – the Union’s auxiliary body in the sphere of standardization, Viktor Nazarenko, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, noted at the sixth Council’s meeting held via videoconferencing.

17 Dec 2020 EAEU strengthens interaction between accreditation bodies and state control bodies to ensure product safety Relevant matters of developing accreditation sphere were discussed at the sixth meeting of the Council of Heads of Accreditation Bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States involving Viktor Nazarenko, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and heads of accreditation bodies of the EAEU States.

16 Dec 2020 EEC and European Commission discussed applying technical regulations and addressed issues of European Green Deal The next round of technical dialogue between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the European Commission was held. The videoconference was attended by representatives of the Trade Policy Department, Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department, Industrial Policy Department and Agricultural Policy Department of the EEC. The delegates of the European Commission included representatives of the Directorates General for Trade, Agriculture, Environment, Climate, Energy, Healthcare and Taxation as well as members of the EU Delegation to Russia.
