In January-March 2023, the GDP of the Eurasian Economic Union amounted to 41.5 tln Russian rubles ( 570 bln US dollars) and decreased by 1.1% compared to the same period last year. GDP growth was observed in Armenia (+12.1%), Kazakhstan (+5%) and Kyrgyzstan (+4.6%).
The EAEU industrial output amounted to 44 tln Russian rubles (583.6 bln US dollars) in January-May 2023 and grew by almost 2% compared to the same period last year. The increase in industrial output was observed in all the Member States, the largest increase was registered in Belarus - by 4.1%. Manufacturing industry (over 65%) accounted for the largest share in the structure of the EAEU industrial output. Its share increased by 4 percentage points compared to the same period last year.
The EAEU agricultural output in all farm categories increased by 3.2% compared to January-May 2022 and amounted to 2.5 tln Russian rubles (32.6 bln US dollars). The largest growth was observed in Belarus - by 5.4%.
The volume of construction works performed in the EAEU increased by 9.2% in January-May 2023 compared to the same period last year and amounted to 4.8 tln Russian rubles (63.2 bln US dollars). The largest growth was observed in Armenia (by more than 47%). The growth of housing construction was registered in Armenia and Kazakhstan.
The volume of passenger traffic amounted to 5.7 bln people in January-May 2023, which is 8.4% more than in January-May 2022.
