EEC Minister Karine Minasyan: “Future belongs to digital cooperation, digital unions and partnerships”
Promotion of digital transformation (digital "evangelism") is not so much a technological agenda, as a change and digital development management agenda. Karine Minasyan, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information and Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) expressed such opinion in the course of the discussion “Digital Ministers. Evangelists of the Technology State Agenda” within the framework of the Open Innovation International Forum in Skolkovo on 17 October.

Tigran Sargsyan: “The future of the EAEU as an integration association is first of all the implementation of the strategic development agenda”
"Respect for and consideration of the interests of all the members is an institutional basis of the EAEU that allows us making decisions acceptable to all the countries of our Union, and enjoy our strategic advantages to the most extent," the Chairman of the Board of Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Tigran Sargsyan, stated speaking at the session of the Permanent Council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna (Austria). Tigran Sargsyan highlighted the priorities of economic development of the Eurasian integration association, principles of interaction with third countries and international organizations, as well as expressed his opinion regarding the possibility of cooperation with the OSCE.

The EEC will digitalize transport in the Union countries
Introduction of intelligent transportation systems and electronic diagnostics of vehicles in the next three years will be one of the most discussed topics in the framework of the Eurasian agenda in the field of digital technologies in transport. This was stated by the Director of the Transportation and Infrastructure Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Erzhan Nurakhmetov, during the 5th International Conference on Investment and Pricing in Rail Transport “Development of International Transport Corridors on the basis of Digital Logistics and Through Fares.”

EEC Minister Tatyana Valovaya: "The most important message we are sending to the world is that the EAEU works”
It is estimated that over the first seven months of 2017, the GDP of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has increased by 1.8%. The economy of the Union Member States is on the rise, and this creates additional opportunities for the development of the integration process. This was stated by the EEC Board Member - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics Tatyana Valovaya, speaking at a press conference dedicated to the results of the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Sochi.

Electricity and coal are no longer to be declared when exporting them from Russia to the EAEU countries
Abolition of the customs declaration of electricity, coal, mineral wax and many other positions in Commodity group 27 of the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) by the Russian Federation was the result of the work of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in cooperation with the EAEU countries.

SEEC results: start of the digital phase of Eurasian integration
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is ready to implement new formats of cooperation and international cooperation, including in the spheres of space, launch first joint projects in the field of digital transformation of the economies of the Union countries, actively protect free competition and equal rights for all producers in the Eurasian economic space. The EEC and IEC to intensify joint work on standardization in the field of electrical engineering
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) agreed to establish a joint Working Group on implementation of previously signed Memorandum of Understanding between the EEC and IEC in the sphere of technical regulation and standardization. The Group, which will include representatives of both Commissions and authorized state authorities of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), will work to improve the competitiveness and safety of electrical products in the Union states and elimination of excessive administrative regulation in trade.

Results of the first year of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the EAEU
Over the first 10 months of operation of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), exports of goods from the Union countries to Vietnam increased by 32% compared to the same period in 2015-2016. Supplies of Vietnamese products to the markets of the EAEU grew by 28%. This was reported by the EEC Board Member - Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mukai Kadyrkulov in Hanoi at a press conference dedicated to the first anniversary of the entry into force of the aforementioned Agreement.
