Modern technical regulation system increases the competitiveness of the Eurasian business
Comprehensive support of domestic producers through technical regulation tools will enhance the competitiveness of the products from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in export markets. This was stated by the Deputy Director of the EEC Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department, Vyacheslav Burmistrov, at the conference "Standardization and Conformity Assessment as Tools to Enhance the Export Capacity of Russian Industry" held on July 11 in Yekaterinburg.

Regulation of operation of the common market of medicines and administrative procedures governing registration of medicines and circulation of previously registered products on the Union common market became topics of speeches delivered by representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) at the IV All-Russian Congress “Legal Regulation of Pharmaceutical Activity in Russia and the EAEU” held in Moscow.

The EEC Minister Adamkul Zhunusov: “Using transport corridors of the EAEU makes transit of cargoes from Asia to Europe more profitable”
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) becomes a bridge between East and West that would strengthen mutually beneficial ties between the states of the Eurasian continent and ensure unimpeded transit of cargoes from Asia to Europe, including through conjunction of the EAEU and Chinese Silk Road Economic Belt Initiative. The Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the EEC, Adamkul Zhunusov, told about the work of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in this direction on July 10, in Istanbul, when delivered a welcome address at the session of the 90-th General Assembly of the International Union of Railways (UIC).

Manufacturers of equipment for children's playgrounds will get a transitional period
At the session of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) held on July 11, the draft Strategy for the development of the integrated information system of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) up to 2025 was approved. A number of decisions in respect of technical regulation and customs administration were also taken. In particular, the participants agreed transitional provisions of the technical regulations “On safety of equipment for children's playgrounds” and amended the decision of the Commission of the Customs Union that simplifies the export of Kazakh oil extracted at the Karachaganak field and exported to third countries through the Russian territory. The Members of the Board discussed the review of the forms and methods of state support to agriculture applied in the EAEU countries as part of an agreed (coordinated) agroindustrial policy.

An agreement on developing cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has been achieved in Geneva within the framework of the 16th session of UNCTAD Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Competition Law and Policy.

The EEC will develop common concept of taxation in e-trade of the EAEU countries
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) plans to begin development of an agreed tax policy in e-trade of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). A common concept of taxation is expected to be prepared. This was announced by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the EEC, Timur Zhaksylykov, at the 13th Eurasian Tax Forum in Paris. The event organized by the International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC) focused on changes in the EAEU tax legislation.
