Arzybek Kozhoshev
Biography

Born on June 25, 1968 in Osh, Kyrgyz Republic.

In 1994, he graduated from the Osh State University, specializing in Economic Geography.

In 1999, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Institute of Economic Research of the NAS of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In 2000, he graduated from the Kyrgyz State University, specializing in Accounting and Audit.

In 2011, he defended his PhD thesis, and in 2017 he defended his doctoral thesis specializing in Economics and Management of the National Economy.

2017–2018: Professor at the M. Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz Economic University.

From 1996 to 2007, he held various positions in the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, including as Deputy Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic.

2007–2015: Deputy Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In 2015, he was elected Deputy of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, 6th convocation.

2015–2017: Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic. Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

2017–2019: Adviser to the Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies.

2019–2021: Chairman of the State Service for Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market.

Since October 2021: First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On July 20, 2022, by decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, he was appointed Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

On February 1, 2024, by decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, he was again appointed Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
