16 Jun 2025 Bakytzhan Sagintaev held negotiations with Hans Kluge, Head of WHO Regional Office for Europe On June 16, Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held a working meeting with Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, at the EEC's headquarters. The meeting discussed the issues of cooperation between the EEC and WHO within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding and the action plan for its implementation until 2025. "Interaction between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the World Health Organization, based on common values and goals, is an important element for shaping a modern and sustainable healthcare architecture across the EAEU," Bakytzhan Sagintaev stressed. Summing up the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to enhancing their constructive dialogue. Currently, the Eurasian Economic Commission and the WHO Regional Office for Europe are preparing a plan for further implementation of the Memorandum for 2026–2028. The new stage of cooperation will concern the practical implementation of joint measures in the field of healthcare within the EAEU with a focus on sustainable and systemic solutions. The Memorandum of Understanding between the EEC and WHO Regional Office for Europe had been signed in 2021. The EAEU States belong to a region, the activities of which within the World Health Organization are governed by the WHO Regional Office for Europe.

12 Jun 2025 Bakytzhan Sagintaev conveyed greetings on Russia Day to Vladimir Putin Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, conveyed his greetings on Russia Day to Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation and Member of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, and all Russian people. "This significant date has become a new milestone in the history of modern Russia, continuing successfully moving along the path of economic transformation, including within the framework of Eurasian integration processes," the letter of greetings reads. On behalf of the Eurasian Economic Commission and in his own capacity Bakytzhan Sagintaev wished the Russian Federation and its citizens well-being and prosperity.

11 Jun 2025 Valentin Tataritsky: “The Commission's priority is to preserve health and ensure the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the EAEU countries' population” Valentin Tataritsky, Minister in charge of Technical Regulation, took part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Authorized Bodies in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare of the Population of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States. The Council discussed, in particular, the outcomes of the recent session of the World Health Assembly in terms of their relevance to the EAEU countries. The current epidemiological situation in the Union Member States and the prospects for the Council's further activities were considered. “Joint efforts will make it possible to expand the potential of the Union States’ public health services and efficiently address necessary issues, which will help preserve the health and ensure the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of our countries’ populations,” Valentin Tataritsky emphasized. The Member States' representatives supported the proposal put forward by Vladimir Sinkevich, Director of the Commission's Department for Sanitary, Phytosanitary and Veterinary Measures, to prepare an action plan on sanitary measures in cooperation with the national competent authorities. The development of a three-year plan has been initiated. During a working meeting between Valentin Tataritsky and Anna Popova, Chairperson of the Council of Heads and Head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being, some issues related to the application of sanitary measures were discussed. This included reviewing the Commission's acts currently being developed in this field, as well as the measures outlined in the draft plan for implementing the “The Eurasian Economic Path” Declaration. Following the discussion, measures for cooperation in a number of priority areas were determined.

11 Jun 2025 Zarema Askarova appointed Deputy Director of EEC Legal Department Zarema Alikovna Askarova was born in 1980 in Bishkek. In 2003, she graduated from Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn with specialty in Jurisprudence. In 2005–2006, she worked as Computer Operator for a group of specialists on technical maintenance of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Department of Presidential Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2006–2007, she was Specialist and Senior Inspector of the group of specialists supporting the activities of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Department of Presidential Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. From 2007 to 2009, she was Expert in the legal analysis and expertise sector of the Legal Support and Human Resources Section, as well as Expert in the Regulatory Impact Analysis Section of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2009–2011, she was Head of the Regulatory Impact Analysis Section of the Business Development Department, Department of Licensing Regulation and ADMS of the Ministry of Economic Regulation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Head of the Section of the Committee on Human Rights, Equal Opportunities and Public Associations, Office of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. From 2011 to 2012, she was Research Officer and Deputy Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2012–2014, she was Lawyer, Head of Office, and Director of the Institute for Public Policy Research at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. From 2014 to 2019, she worked in international organizations. From 2019 to 2021, she was Expert at the Legal Review Section, Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. From February 2021 to May 2025, she served as Deputy Minister and First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic. On June 9, 2025, she was appointed Deputy Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Legal Department.

11 Jun 2025 Customs cooperation between EAEU countries discussed in Yerevan Ruslan Davydov, Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held a meeting with Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. They discussed relevant matters of customs regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union, such as the introduction of the EAEU unified customs transit system, simplification of customs border crossings, as well as prospects for its improvement. The sides highlighted the importance of constructive interaction to ensure the unity of customs administration across the Union. During his working visit, Ruslan Davydov also held a working meeting with Eduard Akopian, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic. The Head of the Commission's Customs Unit and his colleagues discussed in detail the use of promising technologies in the customs sphere, the exchange of customs information, customs value control, implementing the Agreement on the Unified Customs Transit System, and using navigation seals to monitor traffic, as well as plans for further work.

10 Jun 2025 Anti-dumping duty on galvanized rolled products from China and Ukraine extended for five years The Eurasian Economic Commission's Board has extended the anti-dumping duty on galvanized rolled products originating from the People's Republic of China and Ukraine up to and including June 9, 2030. "The decision was adopted following a repeated anti-dumping investigation initiated by the Department for Internal Market Protection on September 2, 2024 due to the expiration of the applied measure under the application submitted by rolled product manufacturers from the Eurasian Economic Union countries," noted Andrey Slepnev, the EEC Minister in charge of Trade. The application was submitted by PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, PJSC Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works, and PJSC Severstal. The anti-dumping duty in respect of galvanized rolled products from the PRC and Ukraine had been established in accordance with Decision No. 209 of the EEC Board dated December 3, 2019. The duty on rolled products from the PRC ranges from 12.69% to 17% of the customs value depending on the manufacturer, and on rolled products from Ukraine it makes 23.9% of the customs value. Besides, Decision No. 209 approved the price obligations for a number of Chinese companies. The measure was extended for the period of repeated investigation.

10 Jun 2025 Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Bakytzhan Sagintaev discussed EAEU development prospects On June 10 in Astana, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, received Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board. The two officials discussed the current state and prospects for further development of the Eurasian Economic Union. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the preparations for the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum and the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council's meeting to be held on June 26-27 in Minsk.

10 Jun 2025 Olga Prudnikova appointed Director of EEC Energy Department Olga Filippovna Prudnikova was born in Mogilev (the Republic of Belarus). In 1989 she graduated from the Belarusian-Russian University (Physical Engineer), in 1999 she graduated with honors from the Belarusian Law Institute with a degree in Jurisprudence (Lawyer), in 2010 she graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus with a degree in Economics and Management in Industry, and in 2024 she graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus with a degree in Public and Local Administration. She started her career in 1989 in RUE Mogilevenergo, where she worked until 2010, holding senior management positions. From 2010 to 2013, she worked at RUE ODU. From 2013 to 2017, she worked as Head of the Production and Technical Department at Belenergo, a state-owned production association of the electric power industry. From January 2017 to May 2025, she was Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus. Since June 2, 2025, she was appointed Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Energy Department.
