On February 22 in Astana, a meeting between the Eurasian Economic Commission's delegation chaired by Bakhyt Sultanov, EEC Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy, and representatives of the Kazakh business community took place at the venue of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"Holding meetings with representatives of the business community, especially in a face-to-face on-site format, is a very efficient form of interaction between the Commission and the business community and makes it possible to share proposals and discuss issues of concern to entrepreneurs during direct dialogue," Bakhyt Sultanov noted.
The EEC Minister informed on the amendments made to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union aimed at solving the problems of entrepreneurs and increasing their involvement in the integration processes in the Eurasian space.
Ernar Bakenov, Director of the EEC Business Development Department, presented information on the progress and results of solving problematic issues reported by representatives of the Kazakh business circles at previous meetings. The Commission's representative informed on the progress made in solving issues in regulation of medical product circulation, technical regulation, internal market functioning, and taxation in mutual trade in goods.
The EEC representatives answered the entrepreneurs' questions and accepted their issues for elaboration, which will involve the Commission's sector-specific departments.
Following the meeting, an arrangement was reached for the supranational body to constantly monitor and control relevant matters and problems of the business community representatives with regular videoconferences.
