November 10 Grodno (Belarus) will host the International Conference
"Advantages and Specifics of the Work of Business Entities within the EAEU
in 2016” chaired by Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Competition and
Antitrust Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Nurlan Aldabergenov.
The Conference aims to review issues related to
ensuring equal conditions of competition and the free movement of goods on
transboundary trade markets of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in
various sectors of the economy and the elimination of barriers to mutual trade.
Participants will analyse the status of competition on transboundary trade
markets (international rail transportation, electric power, international
communication services (roaming), food, petroleum products, phosphate raw
materials, cargo vehicles and spare parts), and compliance with the
restrictions on unfair competition, anti-competitive agreements and the abuse
of dominant positions. Participants will also discuss issues related to
parallel imports, the harmonisation and improvement of antitrust legislation
and public procurement.
The conference will also includes presentations on the
development and implementation of Codes of fair trade practices in the
automotive and spare parts markets (sale and after-sale), the pharmaceutical
market, the Code of fair practices regarding interaction between retailers and
suppliers, etc.
Those invited include heads of public bodies and
antitrust agencies of the EAEU countries, the CIS and other countries, members
of Parliaments, judges of the Eurasian Economic Union, representatives of
diplomatic missions, and the scientific and business communities.
