Goar Barseghyan: "Human capital development is the main factor for stable and balanced economic growth of the EAEU countries"

This was stated by Goar Barseghyan, Director of the Integration Development Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission, at the conference "Development of Russian-Armenian Relations in the Eurasian Space" held on June 1 in Yerevan.

Goar Barseghyan has stressed that economic and geopolitical challenges require great efforts and flexibility in joint actions, as well as the unconditional achievement of the objectives set in the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union and the Strategy-2025.

“The implementation of all the agreements will enable us to start drafting a program document for the Union's further development with due regard to the actual state of affairs and existing risks. We are confident that the Russian Federation's chairmanship in the EAEU governing bodies this year will greatly contribute to achieving this objective”, Goar Barseghyan noted.

Today's choice of priorities and the decisions being adopted will determine the future of the Eurasian economic integration.

“We see human capital development as a permanent priority, as well as the main factor for stable and balanced economic growth of the Union countries. We are confident that the inclusion of social areas in the integration agenda will enable reaching a whole new level of economic cooperation”, Goar Barseghyan emphasized.

The Commission's representative drew attention to the increasingly larger role of the expert, scientific and business communities as the driving force of integration processes and the need for their active involvement in developing proposals for the EAEU further development.

“The increased involvement of citizens, public associations and business communities in the Eurasian integration development is one of the important joint objectives, the achievement of which will make it possible to create a modern, attractive and comfortable image of the future Union”, Goar Barseghyan concluded.

The event was held at the initiative of the EAEU Center for International Legal Cooperation, the Research and Analytical Public Organization "Integration and Development" and the Eurasian Expert Club.
