Eurasian tourist routes to appear across EAEU

On December 19, the Commission's Board reviewed a report on the results of analysis conducted to explore the geography of possible Eurasian tourist routes of the EAEU Member States.

In view of the multiplier effect of the tourism industry, the popularization and expansion of the geography of tourist routes, including visits to the tourist resources of the EAEU Observer States, will help increase the flow of tourists from third countries. As noted in the report, this will provide a framework for the dynamic development of the industry and will give additional impetus to tourism-related sectors of the economy, including hotels, transport, agriculture, medicine, and investments in the tourism industry.

The routes presented in the report are primary tourist attractions, which can become reference points in the development of route map projects. In the future, the provisions of the report will be taken into account when developing the draft Concept for developing tourism within the EAEU.

The report has been posted on the Commission’s official website.
