On March 13, a meeting was held at the venue of the Eurasian Economic Commission with Tania Margarita Cruz Hernandez, First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Cuba, and the officials of the leading Cuban pharmaceutical company "BioCubaPharma", who are in Moscow on a working visit.
During the event, chaired by Chinara Mambetalieva, Deputy Director of the EEC Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department, involving representatives of the Commission's Units for Integration Development and Industrial Policy, the mutual commitment to further progressive development of comprehensive cooperation between the parties was confirmed in order to implement the Memorandum of Understanding between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Government of the Republic of Cuba dated May 31, 2018.
Representatives of the Technical Regulation Unit informed the Cuban delegation about special aspects of medicines circulation in the Eurasian Economic Union's common market and recent amendments to the Commission's acts, including the third part of the first volume of the EAEU Pharmacopoeia scheduled for release in H2 2024.
Representatives of the Integration Development Unit and the Industrial Policy Unit reported on their work to support industrial cooperation and multilateral integration projects in the manufacturing industry.
The meeting attendees paid considerable attention to discussing the possibility of implementing joint projects in the pharmaceutical industry involving companies from Eurasian Economic Union Member States.
