The Conference's key topic was promoting the international hydrogen dialogue including scientific and technological cooperation and competence transfer in the EAEU countries.
"The Commission, jointly with the Union countries, has outlined guidelines for systematic and long-term work on developing hydrogen energy in a number of directions. This entails promoting cooperation between the Member States’ leading scientific organizations in development projects on advanced solutions in the field of hydrogen energy and integration into cooperation and technological chains in terms of manufacturing equipment for the generation, storage, transportation and use of hydrogen”, Nikolay Rogozhnik said. “Besides, it is important to assist in implementing pilot projects on applying hydrogen technologies in various manufacturing industries, transport and energy, and creating import substitution production of components, and finished products to meet the needs of hydrogen energy".
Nikolay Rogozhnik informed on the practical results of joint work conducted by the EEC and the Member States, including the formation of common approaches in the main avenues for cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy with due regard to the potential of each Union country, and a public catalog of research projects, equipment and components in the field of hydrogen energy prepared by the EAEU States, which will be posted on the Commission's website with an option to update its content in a prompt manner.

The International Hydrogen Conference was held on October 27 in Moscow with the support of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. Representatives of the Union countries' competent public authorities, sectoral organizations, associations, academia and the business community took part in discussing the prospects for the hydrogen energy development.
