The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has amended the Customs Union's technical regulation "On Safety of Agricultural and Forestry Tractors and Their Trailers".
The amendments will make it possible to continue production and release into circulation of engines and tractors with engines of emission class 2, depending on engine power: until January 1, 2025 — for power ranges D and G; and until October 1, 2025 — for power ranges E1 and F.
Conformity certificates for such equipment will be valid until March 31, 2027 inclusive.
The date of transition to the production and release into circulation of engines and tractors with engines of emission class 3a has been postponed: from January 1, 2025 — for power ranges K, J; and from October 1, 2025 — for power ranges I, H.
At the same time, there is a possibility of an early transition to the production of tractors with engines of emission class 3a.
Valentin Tataritsky, EEC Minister in charge of Technical Regulation, noted: “The introduced amendments will ensure a smooth transition from producing emission class 2 equipment to emission class 3a equipment. They are aimed at ensuring stable production of tractors and their engines amid restrictive measures introduced by third countries against some manufacturers in our countries.”
