Amendments to Union's Technical Regulation "On safety of milk and dairy products" to come into effect
Amendments to the Customs Union's Technical Regulation “On safety of milk and dairy products” adopted by Decision No. 143 of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Council dated September 23, 2022 will come into effect on September 22, 2023, after 360 days have elapsed from the date of their official publication.
The amendments were prepared to clarify the conceptual apparatus of the technical regulation, as well as physico-chemical and microbiological indicators, which will make it possible to improve the procedure for identifying certain types of dairy products both for manufacturers of such products and for specialists of supervisory bodies and testing laboratories, which will have a positive impact on the activities of market participants.
Decision No. 34 of the Commission's Board dated March 14, 2023 established a transition period, which ends 180 calendar days from the date of enacting these amendments.
