The EEC Minister Sergey Sidorskiy: "The market of cement and construction materials in the EAEU must be balanced"
In 2016, excess capacities for cement production in the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to 69.5 million tons and was almost twice as much as the market demand in the Union. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) prepared a draft document, which included systematic measures to balance the supply and the demand for cement and other construction materials on the market of the Union. This was reported by the EEC Board Member - Minister in charge of Industry and Agroindustrial Complex Sergey Sidorskiy at the meeting of the Integration Council of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) on the cooperation with the EEC.

Customs of the EAEU countries and Vietnam plan to start sharing information about the transferred goods in October, 2018
The third round of negotiations between the customs bodies of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Hanoi concluded with agreeing on the composition of shared information for the electronic exchange on goods transferred between the Union and Vietnam. According to the agreements, the Parties will launch information exchange in trial mode two years after the effective date of the Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Vietnam.

Easier access to the Union river routes for vessels of the EAEU countries
On October 2, the agreement on navigation was approved by the EEC Council. Moreover, the EEC Council members, the vice-premiers agreed a number of draft documents that will be submitted to the heads of states and governments of the EAEU countries for consideration.

Memorandum between the EEC and Morocco - a new level of economic cooperation
On September 28-29, the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco was signed during the working visit of the Member of the EEC Board – Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics Tatiana Valovaya to the Kingdom of Morocco. A joint working group will be created; its main task will be to discuss the possibilities for developing trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU states with Morocco, expansion and diversification of trade relations, joint activities to facilitate mutual access to each other's markets. The working group will include representatives of the EEC, national governments of the Union states and Morocco, as well as business associations of the six states. The first meeting will be held in Moscow in March 2018.

The use of innovative technologies in searches for jobs within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was one of the topics discussed at the fifth meeting of the Advisory Committee for Migration Policy under the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). This approach will allow applicants wishing to find employment in the EAEU States to be answered where their services can be demanded.

The EEC Develops Cooperation in the Sphere of Labor Migration and Social Welfare of Workers of the EAEU Member States
Issues of pension, medical care of workers of the EAEU Member States, recognition of education documents in the state of employment, opportunities for nationals of the Union to work as part of the flight crew of a civil aircraft of the Member States without any restrictions, as well as development of labor legislation of the Member States were discussed at the third meeting of the Advisory Committee on social security, compliance with pension rights, medical care provision and professional activity of workers of the EAEU Member States under the EEC Board.

From September 26 to October 1, 2017, the fifth round of negotiations on the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which is planned to be concluded between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), its Member States and the People's Republic of China (PRC), was held in Hangzhou, China.
