Outcomes of EEC Council's meeting on August 19, 2022

The Eurasian Economic Commission's Council, at the meeting on August 19, specified the circle of entities that can be inspecting organizations in the field of circulation of medical products, as well as adopted a new version of the Rules for Pharmaceutical Inspections.

The EEC Council extended the application of an additional basis for granting deferred payments of import customs duties.

Based on the results of law enforcement practice, the EEC Council has adopted amendments to Decision No. 107 of the Council dated December 20, 2017 "On Certain Issues Related to Goods for Personal Use".

Upon the Member States' proposals, the EEC Council has updated the Unified List of Products Subject to Mandatory Conformity Assessment with the Issuance of Certificates of Conformity and Declarations of Conformity in a Single Form.

Upon the proposal by the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the EEC Council have adopted a decision allowing any official representative of a foreign manufacturer to act as an applicant for vehicle certification in the EAEU, as well as for the distribution or extension of the conformity assessment document.

The EEC Council has approbated the draft Protocol on amending the Agreement on the unified principles and rules for the circulation of medical devices (medical accessories and medical equipment) within the Eurasian Economic Union dated December 23, 2014. The draft Protocol was sent to the EAEU States for internal legal procedures required for signing the protocol.

The EEC Council has extended until December 31, 2023 the customs procedure for temporary importation (admission) of certain categories of goods, the deadlines for the temporary presence and use of which in the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union expire from February 21 to December 31, 2022.

The next face-to-face meeting of the EEC Council will be held on September 23 in Moscow.
