19 Jun 2025 Commission develops cooperation with Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China on imposing trade remedies Andrey Zakharov, Director of the Department for Internal Market Protection of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held a meeting with Tao Peng, Head of the Trade Remedy and Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, within the framework of the Memorandum on Cooperation in the Application of Anti-Dumping, Countervailing and Safeguard Measures between the EEC and the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. The event participants discussed the role of imposing trade remedies in the changing global trade environment. The meeting noted the special role of bilateral contacts for constructive discussion of emerging issues both at the level of investigation bodies and at the level of businesses. "The Commission appreciates the long-term cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC on the imposition of trade remedies, which is based on the principles of transparency and consideration of mutual interests. The Department for Internal Market Protection remains open for further development of dialogue with the Trade Remedy and Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China," mentioned Andrey Zakharov. Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum, as well as on the work of the Joint Commission for implementing the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the PRC.
19 Jun 2025 Eldar Alisherov: "Our dialogue is designed to promote further growth of trade turnover between the EAEU countries and Myanmar" Priorities of trade and economic cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and Myanmar were discussed at a meeting of the joint working group on interaction between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The meeting on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was co-chaired by Eldar Alisherov, EEC Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics, and Kan Zaw, Myanmar Minister for Investment and External Economic Relations. The meeting participants addressed the issues of cooperation in trade, agriculture, competition policy and interaction of business circles. "Our dialogue on various aspects of the regulatory framework being developed within the EAEU is designed to promote the development of trade and economic ties between the Eurasian Five countries and Myanmar, as well as further growth of trade turnover, which has more than tripled since 2019," Eldar Alisherov stated. Among the key objectives of cooperation between the Commission and the Government of Myanmar identified by the EEC Minister at this stage are raising awareness of each other's trade and economic opportunities, as well as identifying bottlenecks in economic relations that need to be discussed within the working group. According to him, the high potential for cooperation between the parties "is predetermined by the Commission's active dialogue with the ASEAN region as a whole, as well as by the fact that Myanmar is essentially a 'bridge' between the EAEU and ASEAN, a trade 'crossroads' of major economies of Southeast Asia." In turn, Kang Zaw emphasized the importance of the dialogue with the EEC for boosting economic cooperation with all countries of the Union. In this regard, he highlighted a number of the most promising areas: digitalization, e-commerce, technology exchange in agriculture, and interaction within Myanmar's special economic zones. Myanmar Trade Minister Aung Naing Oo, Myanmar Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Minister Min Naung, and Aye Win, President of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, addressed the meeting. The parties called on the entrepreneurs of the EAEU and Myanmar for closer cooperation, including the establishment of an official dialogue between the EAEU Business Council and the relevant Myanmar business association. The next meeting of the joint working group will take place in 2026. The Memorandum of Cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar had been signed in 2023. 
19 Jun 2025 Goar Barseghyan: "Financing industrial cooperation is an important step for deepening economic integration" This was stated by Goar Barseghyan, Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission, during the business dialogue event "Russian–Kazakhstan Dialogue. New Horizons of Industrial Cooperation" held at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The EEC Minister noted the important role of the real economy in the development of cooperation not only between Russia and Kazakhstan, but also in general within the Eurasian Economic Union. "On the initiative of businesses, a new mechanism of financial support for industrial cooperation is created in the EAEU. This instrument, launched by the Commission in July 2024, has become an important step in deepening economic integration and developing practical interaction between entrepreneurs," Goar Barseghyan stated. As the EEC Minister emphasized, the mechanism provides for subsidizing the interest rate on loans at 100% of the key rate of the Union countries, as well as the participation of enterprises from three or more EAEU states, which strengthens cooperation, promotes the exchange of experience and technological growth. According to her, financing of the first two projects has been approved, including joint production of agricultural machinery in Kazakhstan. The implementation of this project will ensure the manufacture of combine harvesters involving Russian and Belarusian enterprises. The EEC Minister said that taking into account the positive experience, the Heads of Government of the EAEU countries approved the initiative to expand the support mechanism for cooperation project to the agricultural sector. "By combining economic potentials and national competencies, we will be able to build an integration space that will become a reliable basis for economic growth and sustainable technological development," Goar Barseghyan summarized. In 2024, the volume of industrial output in the EAEU grew by 4.5% compared to the previous year. About 80% of the total trade turnover of the EAEU countries with Kazakhstan is made up of manufacturing industry products. 
19 Jun 2025 Interaction and exchange of experience in competition discussed by EEC and Myanmar Armine Hakobyan, Deputy Director of the Department for Competition and Public Procurement Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission, presented the EEC activities in the field of competition policy at the meeting of the joint working group on interaction between the Commission and the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The meeting was held as part of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. Myanmar reported that, following the entry into force of Myanmar's Competition Law in 2017, it established the Competition Commission that gained considerable experience to date and took its rightful place in the government system. Myanmar is interested in cooperating with similar agencies of the EAEU states and the EEC competition unit. "The Myanmar Competition Commission comprises representatives from various ministries and agencies. For us, this is an interesting, unusual approach to the structure of a competition authority. It is certainly useful for us to familiarize ourselves with its work," Armine Hakobyan noted. The meeting participants addressed organizational issues of interaction, as well as cooperation in other key economic areas in accordance with the previously concluded Memorandum between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
18 Jun 2025 Bakytzhan Sagintaev participated in meeting of EAEU countries' Vice Prime Ministers On June 18, Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board, took part in a meeting of Vice Prime Ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States being the EEC Council Members. The event participants discussed topical areas of the Eurasian economic integration, as well as issues of further cooperation development within the EAEU. The meeting reviewed the preparations for the summit of the Union countries' leaders and the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum to be held on June 26–27 in Minsk.
18 Jun 2025 EEC amended lists of standards to technical regulations on certain types of specialized food products, packaged drinking water, food additives and flavorings The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission updated the list of standards to the technical regulations "On Safety of Certain Types of Specialized Food Products, Including Dietary Therapeutic and Dietary Preventive Nutrition" (TR CU 027/2012), "Safety Requirements for Food Additives, Flavorings and Auxiliary Substances" (TR CU 029/2012) and "On Safety of Packaged Drinking Water, Including Natural Mineral Water" (TR EAEU 044/2017). The lists include interstate standards developed by the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union in accordance with the programs to these regulations. In particular, six interstate standards for research methods were added to TR CU 027/2012, while the same number (no longer relevant) were excluded. The list of voluntary applied standards and the list of standards for research methods to TR CU 029/2012 was supplemented with three new documents, one was excluded. One standard was added to the list of standards for research methods to TR EAEU 044/2017, two documents were excluded, and the period of application of another standard was limited. Such changes, according to the Procedure for developing lists of standards, are introduced without public discussion and without consideration at a meeting of the relevant Advisory Committee, on the basis of proposals from the authorized standardization authorities, provided that all countries of the Eurasian Economic Union accede to such standards. The amendments adopted by the EEC Board will come into effect after 180 calendar days have elapsed from the date of official publication of the relevant Commission's decisions.
18 Jun 2025 Information exchange as part of transport control at EAEU external border launched Belarus and Russia finished refining their technological cooperation and finalized the national segments under Common Process No. 46 "Information Support for Transport (Automobile) Control at the External Border of the Eurasian Economic Union". That allowed them to begin a full-scale information exchange. Common Process No. 46 is part of the integrated information system for foreign and mutual trade of the Union. It is designed to increase the efficiency of control exercised by national authorized authorities when trucks into the EAEU. In preparation for the launch of the process, the authorized authorities of Belarus and Russia made more than 800 transactions containing consolidated information on the results of transport (automobile) control. By late 2025, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are planning to join the initiated information exchange as well. Arzybek Kozhoshev, the EEC Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure, emphasized: "Full implementation of Common Process No. 46 will provide authorized authorities with prompt access to the results of transport control at the external border of the Union as transport moves across the territory of the Member States, including information on payment of duties, fines and elimination of violations. This will ultimately have a positive impact on the quality and safety of the transportation process." Armenia does not participate in the implementation of Common Process No. 46 due to the introduction of relevant amendments to the Treaty on the EAEU.
17 Jun 2025 Bakytzhan Sagintaev: "The EAEU priority is developing mutually beneficial foreign economic relations" On June 17, Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board, held a working meeting with Tadzio Schilling, Director General of the Association of European Businesses (AEB), at the EEC's headquarters. The meeting discussed the prospects of cooperation between the Commission and AEB, which currently unites more than 380 European companies. "The Eurasian Economic Commission works jointly with the EAEU States to create favorable conditions for doing business. We consider the AEB as a reliable partner for efficient interaction with the business community," Bakytzhan Sagintaev emphasized. The Head of the EEC Board has noted that one of the EAEU priorities is developing foreign economic activities. The Commission is focused on consistent expansion of its international cooperation geography. Summing up the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further development of the dialogue of entrepreneurs across the Eurasian space. Bakytzhan Sagintaev conveyed his greetings to Tadzio Schilling on the 30th anniversary of the Association of European Businesses and wished him intense and productive work on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum.
