Jazeera Erjigitova appointed Deputy Director of EEC Legal Department

Jazeera Erjigitova was born on August 7, 1984 in Chirchik (Republic of Uzbekistan). In 2006, she graduated with honors from the Kazakh Humanitarian Law University, specialty “International Law”. In 2009, she graduated from the KazGUU with a Master's degree in Jurisprudence. In 2018, she graduated from the University College London with a Master of Laws (LLM) degree.

In 2010, she started her career in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She held various positions in the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan until 2021: she headed the Directorate for Expert Evaluation of Draft Bilateral International Treaties in the International Law Department as well as the Department for Expert Evaluation of Economic Integration Projects.

From 2010 to 2012, she was Lawyer of the European Union project "Support for judicial and legal reform in the Republic of Kazakhstan".

In May 2021, she was appointed Deputy Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Legal Department.
