Implementation of intelligent transport systems discussed at Eurasian Economic Forum
Prospects for introducing intelligent transport systems in the Eurasian Economic Union States were in discussion focus at a working meeting between Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Alexander Semkin, President of the Russian Association for Developing Digital Transport Technologies "Digital Era of Transport", held on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Minsk. During the negotiations, the EEC Minister informed about the implementation of the Concept for Improving the Interoperability of Intelligent Transport Systems of the EAEU Member States, approved by the EEC Council in January this year. The meeting participants exchanged views on the list of basic services to be implemented, as well as on the unification of requirements to the formats of information exchange between ITS of the Union countries. "Given the different level of ITS implementation in our states, it is crucial to create a seamless EAEU digital space based on unified standards and requirements," Arzybek Kozhoshev emphasized. The two sides agreed to continue discussing these issues at the annual International Forum "Intelligent Transport Systems of Russia. Digital Age Transportation" in September.

Arzybek Kozhoshev: "The common market will ensure equal access to transboundary trade in electricity"
Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in the round table "EAEU Common Electric Power Market: Future Outlook" at the EEF 2025 in Minsk, dedicated to the prospects of integrating the electric power markets of the Eurasian Five States. "The common market will provide equal access to transboundary trade in electricity, expand the volume and methods of mutual trade, make it possible to equalize the load schedule in the energy systems of the Eurasian Economic Union countries and abandon excessive construction of generating capacities. This will increase the energy security of the Member States," Arzybek Kozhoshev noted. The event participants noted the progress in establishing the regulatory framework for the EAEU common electric power market, considered the specifics of reforming and developing the internal electric power markets in the context of integration and identified the prospects and priorities for the development of the real sector and the business community of the Union countries under the conditions of the future market functioning. "By now, almost the entire regulatory framework for the functioning of the electric power market has been approved, and the Accession Treaty with regulations has been prepared to a large extent. At the same time, it is extremely important to follow the principles of establishment and functioning of the common electric power market enshrined in the Treaty and implemented in the rules, including in view of the extensive impact of the electric power industry on the real sector," Arzybek Kozhoshev informed. The round table was attended by heads and experts from more than 50 industry organizations, confirming the high interest of business and regulators in the establishment of a common electric power space. The discussion participants were heads of energy agencies and representatives of infrastructure and exchange organizations of the EAEU States.

EEF discussed introduction of digital technologies in transport
The development of integration in the field of transport and its impact on ensuring sustainable development of Eurasia was discussed on June 26 by the participants of the thematic session "Introduction of Digital Solutions in EAEU Transport: Paperless Technologies, Automated and Unmanned Vehicles". The event was held in Minsk as part of the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum. "The role of digital technologies, the importance of timely introduction of digital tools into the transport industry of the Eurasian Economic Union countries are huge," said Rustan Jenalinov, Director of the Transport and Infrastructure Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission. "By 2040, the savings in the freight transportation and logistics sector will amount to more than 25 billion euros due to the transition from paper to electronic document flow." Representatives of government agencies, business community and international organizations discussed in detail the development of unmanned systems, the introduction of paperless technologies, the possibilities of smart transport systems, the requirements for international transport corridors, as well as the economic and social effect of their implementation. At the end of the discussion, Rustan Jenalinov noted that "for ten years, the EAEU's practical case for digitalization has been evolving from the establishment of information exchange between market participants and data exchange in business processes to the creation of digital ecosystems, technology platforms, the use of electronic documents and artificial intelligence to address ambitious tasks that require the analysis of large amounts of data, accounting or calculations."

Eurasian Economic Commission and CIS CTM Executive Committee signed Cooperation Plan in Transport and Logistics
The Eurasian Economic Forum in Minsk featured a milestone event for the integration of Eurasian transport systems: the signing of the Cooperation Plan in the field of transport, infrastructure, logistics and development of international transport corridors between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Executive Committee of the Coordinating Transport Meeting of the Participating States of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the period until 2030. The document was signed by Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Gennady Bessonov, Chairman of the CIS CTM Executive Committee. "The document lays a solid foundation for systemic engagement. Synchronized efforts in the field of transport and infrastructure in the EAEU and the Commonwealth are in the interests of all parties. Indeed, making transport a driver of economic development, commerce and social welfare is a common goal. The plan until 2030 sets a clear vector for this work," Arzybek Kozhoshev outlined. The Cooperation Plan establishes specific areas and activities for joint work of the EEC and the CIS CTM Executive Committee. Its purpose is to enable sustainable and efficient development of transportation systems, competitiveness and mutual compatibility in the Eurasian space, which is critical for accelerating economic growth of the EAEU and CIS countries.
