Introduction of GMP standards discussed at conference in Moscow
Achievements and development prospects of the pharmaceutical industry within the Eurasian Economic Union were discussed in Moscow at the 10th All-Russian GMP Conference featuring Chinara Mambetalieva, Deputy Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department.

Mechanisms for access to EAEU public procurement discussed at seminar in Belarus
The procedure for participating in procurement in the Eurasian Economic Union counties and specifics of inclusion into the Eurasian register of industrial goods were looked into at the seminar "Access to the EAEU Markets, Preferences in Public Procurement in the Republic of Belarus" organized in Minsk by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and featuring Alina Kazachenok, Deputy Director of the Department for Competition and Public Procurement of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The EEC representative told about the Commission's work on maintaining the Eurasian register highlighting the algorithms for including industrial goods into the register that are regulated by the Rules of Origin of Certain Types of Goods for Public (Municipal) Procurement. "The Rules approved by a Decision of the Commission's Council in 2020 are applied in case of the Union States introducing preferences, restrictions and prohibitions regarding Eurasian and third-country goods and are an effective instrument of ensuring national treatment in public procurement within the EAEU in such cases," stressed Alina Kazachenok. The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus.

Ruslan Davydov: "Introducing the common transit system and electronic navigation seals are the key areas of digitalization within the EAEU"
Ruslan Davydov, Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in the International Research-to-Practice Conference "Prospects for Developing Customs Legislation: A Balance of Trust and Control" organized by the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus. In his speech, Ruslan Davydov noted that digitalization in the field of customs is an effective instrument in the further development of the Eurasian integration. "The introduction of the common transit system, tracking shipments using electronic navigation seals, as well as modernized approaches to arranging and equipping checkpoints taking into account breakthrough technologies are the priority areas for customs digitalization the in the EAEU," the EEC Minister emphasized. As part of his visit to Minsk, Ruslan Davydov held a bilateral meeting with Vladimir Orlovsky, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, and discussed relevant matters of the Eurasian agenda: the implementation of the Declaration on Further Development of the Eurasian Integration until 2030 and for the period until 2045 in terms of customs cooperation, as well as instruments for suppression of illicit trade turnover in the EAEU. The head of the EEC Customs Unit invited representatives of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus to take an active part in the EEC seminar in October this year dedicated to smart checkpoints, as well as digitalization of customs authorities in the EAEU countries. The seminar will be attended by representatives of public authorities, the business community and academia.

Arzybek Kozhoshev: "Shaping the common market of air transportation services is an important economic growth factor for the EAEU countries"
This was stated by Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, during the international conference "Sustainable Aviation Transport of the EAEU 2026–2035" at the Network 2025 Forum taking place on September 17 in Moscow. "The EEC attaches key importance to shaping a common transport space, eliminating infrastructural and administrative barriers, as well as fostering digital transformation of logistics. The Commission together with the EAEU States works on creating a common market of air transportation services in the Eurasian space," mentioned Arzybek Kozhoshev. The Minister has also outlined that long-term development of the aviation industry requires a comprehensive approach and introducing a range of regional measures including harmonized legislation of the EAEU countries in the field of civil aviation. The event became a venue for interaction between representatives of public authorities, business and expert community in the most relevant matters of sustainable transport, focusing on civil aviation and its multimodal component. The conference was arranged ahead of the Decade of Sustainable Transport declared by the UN General Assembly and starting on January 1, 2026.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev held working meeting with Julio Antonio Garmendia Peña, Cuban Ambassador to Russia
Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board, held a working meeting with Julio Antonio Garmendia Peña, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cuba to the Eurasian Economic Union and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Russian Federation, as he completed his diplomatic mission. Bakytzhan Sagintayev thanked Julio Antonio Garmendia Peña for constructive dialogue and significant facilitation of cooperation between the EAEU countries and Cuba and presented him the badge of the Eurasian Economic Commission "For Contribution to Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration". The parties discussed a wide range of issues covered by the Memorandum of Understanding between the EEC and the Government of Cuba. The joint action plan covers 34 areas of cooperation, including trade, banking activities, finance, biotechnologies, agriculture, information and communication technologies. "We see progress in trade turnover of the EAEU States and Cuba," stated Bakytzhan Sagintayev. "In 2024, it increased by 13.9% in comparison to 2015 and amounted to about 241 million dollars." In particular, the Union States export to Cuba oil and petroleum products, wheat, cars and auto parts, various devices. In turn, Cuban coffee and tobacco products are in demand in the EAEU. Also, Cuba is of interest to citizens of the EAEU countries as a tourism destination. In 2024, the island was visited by over 185,000 tourists from the Eurasian Five States, which was a record-breaking figure. The meeting resulted in the parties highlighting their mutual interest in continuing and intensifying trade and economic dialogue.

EEC and Philippines discussed cooperation plans
Promising areas of interaction between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Republic of Philippines were considered at the EEC headquarters by Daniyar Imanaliev, Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Allan Gepty, Assistant Secretary at the Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines. "The Republic of the Philippines is one of the leading economies in South East Asia," the EEC Minister commented. "The Commission actively facilitates trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU Member States and the countries in the region and is ready to enhance its dialogue with the Philippines, including at the key ASEAN platforms." Daniyar Imanaliev informed his Philippine colleagues about the formats of the Commission's interaction with third countries, as well as about the crucial goals and objectives in interaction with ASEAN. The EEC Minister invited representatives of the official, expert and business circles of the Philippines to take part in the main activities of the new Cooperation Program between the EEC and ASEAN for 2026–2030. Allan Gepty indicated the Philippines' interest for exchanging experience in agriculture including technologies for processing agricultural produce, as well as food security, pharmaceuticals, energy, information and communication technologies and innovative development. The meeting recognized the need to intensify contacts between business representatives of the EAEU countries and the Philippines for practical implementation of initiatives in these fields. The parties agreed to consider the possibility of ultimately concluding a memorandum on cooperation between the EEC and the Philippine Government, as well as holding a joint congress and exhibition event involving business associations over the Philippines' chairmanship of ASEAN in 2026.

Andrey Slepnev held negotiations with Piyush Goyal, Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry
During their meeting in New Delhi, India, Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of India, highlighted the approbation of the road map aimed at fast-tracking effective free trade negotiations between the Eurasian Economic Union and India. The parties have also agreed on the approach envisaging that the first round of negotiations will be held in early November this year in India and will be dedicated to reviewing the core points of the future deal. It will be preceded by the Commission's extensive consultations with its Indian partners and the EAEU Member States. The Ministers agreed to have regular contacts to support the negotiations comprehensively.

Lyudmila Mudrova appointed Director of EEC Finance Department
Lyudmila Ivanovna Mudrova was born on September 21, 1980 in the urban settlement of Khotsimsk, Mogilev Region, the Republic of Belarus. In 2002, she graduated from Mogilev State Technical University; and in 2021, she completed her postgraduate studies at Belarusian State Economic University. From March 2003 to March 2007, she held positions from State Tax Inspector to Deputy Inspection Head in the Inspection of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus for Khotsimsk District. March–August 2007: Chief State Tax Inspector, Inspection of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus for the Mogilev region. September 2007 – October 2009: Chief State Tax Inspector, Inspection of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus. From October 2009 to January 2023, she held positions from Chief Specialist to Department Head at the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus. February 2023 – September 2025: Deputy Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Customs Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation Department. Since September 15, 2025 she was appointed Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Finance Department.
