Bakytzhan Sagintaev, "Joining economic potentials can multiply the effect of mutually beneficial cooperation"
On June 26, Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in the panel session "Dialogue of Interstate Associations: Convergence of Economic Potentials and Deepening Trade and Economic Cooperation" at the Eurasian Economic Forum in Minsk. "Dialogue of integrations" is one of the main development trends of the global economy. The leaders of all five countries of the Union never fail to emphasize the importance of incorporating the Eurasian Economic Union into the global system of trade and economic relations," Bakytzhan Sagintaev emphasized. The Head of the EEC Board noted that the Commission jointly with the Member States created the necessary infrastructure for a systemic international dialogue. There are 12 memoranda of cooperation with regional interstate associations. Dialogue with them serves as a foundation for the exchange of experience and increasing the pace of trade and economic cooperation. The Commission and the Union have an extensive network of contacts around the world, including Eurasia, Latin America and Africa. Among the key partners with which the dialogue is successfully developing are the CIS, SCO, ASEAN, Mercosur, BRICS, CICA, Andean Community, Southern Common Market, African Union, Pacific Alliance and others. The main instrument for expanding the geography of partnership is trade agreements. They are concluded with Vietnam, Iran, Serbia, China, and negotiations on an agreement with Indonesia are at the final stage. On June 27, two more trade agreements are scheduled to be signed on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting — with the UAE and Mongolia. "Today the EAEU is interested not only in adopting the positive experience of other organizations in integration development. As an established association, we are ready to offer our partners our own best practices. Joining our economic potentials can multiply the effect of mutually beneficial cooperation," summarized the Head of the EEC Board.

Bakytzhan Sagintaev: "Within the EAEU more than 60% of initiatives of business entities are accepted annually"
Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in a meeting of the Advisory Board for Interaction between the EEC and the EAEU Business Council on June 26 in Minsk on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum. “In general, the Commission’s activities focus on creating conditions for the entrepreneurs from our countries to utilize the integration potential of the Eurasian Economic Union most efficiently. We are interested in further expansion of cooperation with the business community," Bakytzhan Sagintaev noted in his welcoming address to the event participants. The Head of the EEC Board stressed that within the EAEU a substantial legal framework has been created and long-term priorities in various economic sectors have been defined, which facilitates doing business. Moreover, the mechanisms of interaction with the business community, including the Advisory Board, established by the Commission jointly with the Union countries, help take their interests into account to the maximum extent possible. "The creation of the Advisory Board facilitated the transition to a new format of communication with entrepreneurs, which is the single window. Our dialogue now allows responding to requests from businesses quickly. In many respects due to this, more than 60% of initiatives of business entities are annually accepted and incorporated in regulation within the Union," Bakytzhan Sagintaev emphasized. The meeting discussed relevant matters of the Eurasian economic integration, including awareness raising with the business community about the EAEU industrial policy instruments and improving the protection of entrepreneurs' rights. The purpose of the Advisory Board is to ensure an effective dialogue between the Commission and the EAEU Business Council to determine the directions and prospects for developing entrepreneurship in the areas of EEC competence.
