In conclusion, Bakytzhan Sagintaev outlined a number of challenges that, when addressed, will contribute to creating the necessary conditions for developing the real sector of the Union economies and increasing the volume of mutual and foreign trade. The priorities of each Member State of the Eurasian integration association are the basis of common efforts to ensure the dynamic development of the Union, as the Head of the EEC Board emphasized. EEC Board temporarily zeroed out duties on certain types of components for hand-held power tools
The Eurasian Economic Commission's Board has decided to set the rates of import customs duties of the СCT EAEU at 0% of the customs value in respect of certain types of components for the production of hand-held power tools (codes 8483 40 230 2, 8536 50 800 2 and 8545 20 000 1 of the CN FEA of the EAEU). The duties are temporarily zeroed out through December 31, 2029. "This measure of customs tariff regulation is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of hand-held power tools produced by enterprises of the Eurasian Economic Union, reducing the cost price of such production, increasing the existing capacity utilization, ramping up output and expanding the range of products, as well as creating favorable conditions for investment in the industry," mentioned Vahagn Ghazaryan, Director of the EEC Tariff and Non-Tariff Customs Regulation Department. At the same time, he emphasized that components for hand-held power tools of the required standard sizes are not produced in the EAEU. Necessary amendments will be made to other Commission's acts as well. Zero duty rates were applied to these goods from June 5, 2020 to June 30, 2023 inclusive. That contributed to an increase in power tools production capacity utilization in the EAEU countries and a higher share of domestic products in the internal market.

Highlights of the speech by the Chairman of the EEC Board Tigran Sargsyan at the Conference of the EDB, published in the “Vedomosti” newspaper: “Overcoming under-integration”
I believe there is huge potential for the economic growth in Eurasia, which has not yet been explored. And I think that the main tool that could greatly stimulate the economic growth in our countries may be this supranational institution which has been created. Because our main mission is to be able to summarize the best practices that have been accumulated in the countries, and basing on them, international experience, experience of the European Union we will have to introduce these new supranational institutions, which will stimulate the economic growth in our countries. The axiomatics which lie at the heart of our Treaty on the Union is as follows: If we create the common economic space, we will remove barriers, exemptions and restrictions, create conditions for the free movement of goods, services, capital, and labor, which alone will ensure great potential for the economic growth.
